Gigs - Equipment and Crew

Take a really good look at this picture. Do you think gigs just happen somehow, that all of this equipment somehow puts itself together? Are you one of "those people" who attend concerts and only see the show? Well, let EVERLOUNGE set you straight! Behind every gig in the world, whether it's in Madison Square Garden or in "Joe's Corner Bar" is a great deal of time consuming, back breaking work.

EVERLOUNGE is extremely fortunate to have an engineer on staff, without whom each and every gig would be a nightmare! For very little money, this guy have driven trucks, loaded & lifted every imaginable piece of audio gear, set up and torn down stages, and mixed the sound so that the band sounds tight & right. Things can [ and do! ] go wrong during performances, and it is up to this guy to fix the problem so the band can stay focused on making music. EVERLOUNGE knows of no other band on the Internet who dedicates a page to the "guy behind the band", but here is just such a page which he can call his own.

MIKE CLEARY EVERLOUNGE first met Mike at West West Side Music, the studio where their CD, VODKA CONTEXT, was recorded. As it happened, Mike was looking to get more involved in live sound, and EVERLOUNGE was seeking a full time engineer. The rest, as they say, is history. Mike is a graduate of the Institute of Audio Research in New York City, where they instilled in him a sixth sense...the ability to "be one with the sound system". Mike can sense trouble lurking under the surface of an otherwise well-running performance, and knows where to go and what to do to prevent calamity. Don't let his engineering degree fool you...Mike has lifted, lugged, pushed, carried, and wrestled with every road box the band owns, and EVERLOUNGE is grateful to him for his hard work and dedication.

Mike works really hard to make EVERLOUNGE sound right and he does it for very little money and practically no recognition whatsoever. If the band's performance sounds good to you, wander on over to the sound board during your next trip to the bar and let him know. He'll really appreciate it.
